Established in 2009, the Seoul National University Asia Center (SNUAC) is a global research institution based in Seoul, South Korea, dedicated to leading the advancement of Asian studies. Founded on the recognition that a deeper, more nuanced understanding of Asia is essential in the "Asian Era," SNUAC has since served as a premier hub for generating and disseminating new knowledge regarding the Asian region.

By integrating regional and thematic research, SNUAC aims to build a solid foundation for Asian studies, nurture next-generation scholars, and facilitate vibrant international exchange. Building upon its achievements over the past 15 years, the center strives to be a global platform for Asian studies that connects Asia with the rest of the world to shape a shared future.

The organization is comprised of the HK+ Mega-Asia Research Group, seven regional research centers, eight thematic programs, and the Asia Regional Information Center. Through innovative research, international conferences, workshops, and the establishment of robust research networks, SNUAC continues to strengthen cooperation and knowledge sharing across Asia and beyond.

The SNU Asia Center features versatile conference spaces capable of hosting both large-scale plenary lectures and multiple parallel sessions, with excellent accessibility to various campus amenities. It will serve as the ideal venue for geographers from Korea, China, and Japan to gather, exchange ideas, and foster academic solidarity.

The conference venue is the Asia Center (SNUAC, Bldg. 101), located inside Seoul National University's Gwanak Campus.

From Incheon International Airport (ICN)

Airport Shuttle

Take Bus 6017 bound for SNU Hoam Faculty House (서울대 호암교수회관). Hoam Faculty House is the terminus and is located inside the SNU campus, approximately 1 km from the Asia Center (a campus shuttle or taxi is required for the final leg).

- Travel time: 70–90 minutes depending on traffic
- Fare: 17,000 won (approximately USD 12), paid in cash or by credit/transit card onboard

Taxi

Approximately 60–80 minutes; fare is around 80,000 won (approximately USD 55), including expressway tolls.

Subway

Take the AREX Airport Railroad from Incheon International Airport Station and transfer to Line 2 at Hongik University Station. Get off at Seoul National University Station (서울대입구역). From Exit 3, take bus 5511 or 5513 and alight at the SNU Business School stop (5511) or the College of Social Sciences stop (5513) — both are within walking distance of the Asia Center. Total travel time is approximately 2 hours; total fare is approximately 4,300 won (approximately USD 3).

From Gimpo International Airport (GMP)

Bus

Take Bus 651 from the Gimpo Airport bus stop. Then get off at Seoul National University subway station. Take exit 3 where you can take 5511 or 5513 buses, and get off at bus station (Law school / SNU Business School). The total trip will take about 2 hours and cost about 4,300 won (approximately USD 3).

- Travel time: approximately 60–80 minutes
- Fare: approximately 1,500 won (USD 1)

Taxi

Approximately 30–40 minutes; fare is around 30,000–40,000 won (approximately USD 22–29), depending on traffic.

Subway

From Gimpo International Airport Station, take Line 9 Express to Dangsan and transfer to Line 2; alternatively, take AREX Airpory Railroad and transfer to Line 2 at Hongik University Station. Get off at Seoul National University Station and follow the same instructions as above (Exit 3, bus 5511 or 5513). Total travel time is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes; total fare is approximately 1,700 won (approximately USD 1.20).
